ANNIE'S STORY
Annie’s Book Stop traces its roots back to the 1970s, when Anne Tryon Adams opened a small used-book shop in Massachusetts with a simple idea: make books affordable, welcoming, and part of everyday community life. That spirit helped Annie’s grow into a beloved network of independent bookstores. Each locally owned, yet all sharing a passion for books and community.
In the early 1980s, Dave and Shirley Peterson brought that vision to Raynham, opening Annie’s Book Stop. For over four decades, they welcomed generations of readers to a place to trade books, discover new favorites, and share stories.
In 2025, Leslie Kola and Alda Stankewicz became the new owners, continuing the warm, community-centered tradition that makes this store special.
Annie’s Book Stop Raynham is carrying forward Annie’s original mission: a friendly neighborhood bookstore where everyone belongs.
